We are looking for a Digital Design Lead to join our brand and communications team.

About the role

As a brand and communications team, we combine strategy, storytelling and design to create bespoke and resilient narratives that help companies make meaningful connections with their audiences.

As Digital Design Lead on the team, you will drive large-scale digital projects across a variety of industries, shaping the creative vision from concept through execution. You’ll set clear direction, build momentum, act as a bridge between the client and the BB team, and facilitate meaningful conversations that push the project forward. You’ll also ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality work on time, while nurturing a collaborative and inspiring environment.

It’s important to us that you’re a team player who can collaborate well with strategists, writers, developers, clients, and other designers. As an experienced member of the team, you’ll provide feedback and mentorship to the design team, while producing high-quality design work that inspires others.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead digital design across multiple projects—collaborating closely with strategists, writers, designers, and developers on a wide range of outputs, including:
    • Large-scale website designs
    • Scalable and interactive design systems
    • North Star design concepts
  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, researching and analyzing the context of their brief. This may include preparing for and hosting workshops if required, and bringing new insights and unexpected angles to inform the design direction of large-scale websites.
  • Identify and manage external partners, such as CG partners, sound designers, etc.

Project Oversight

  • Define the approach and deliverables for digital design tracks.
  • Lead design QA across projects.

Team Leadership

  • Provide feedback and mentorship to the design team.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve design processes to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Support hiring efforts aligned with our evolving vision and needs.
  • Set a positive example for morale and attitude.
  • Research and introduce new tools to enhance workflows.

Qualifications

Project Delivery

  • Experience leading and scoping design work within digital design.
  • Excellent storytelling capabilities, with a knack for translating complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing attention to both essential details and the broader context.

Project Oversight

  • Experience collaborating closely with PMs, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of design, strategy, and business alignment.

Team Leadership

  • Ability to create excitement around opportunity spaces and trends, and communicate those to both creative and corporate audiences.
  • Passion for continuous learning, staying ahead of industry trends, and mentoring others.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Experience in hiring, team development, and cultivating a positive, high-performing culture.

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
