We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in Amsterdam, Barcelona or Oslo.

Bakken & Bæck is a design and development studio working out of Oslo, Amsterdam, Bonn, London and Barcelona. Building digital products, brands and businesses, we help ambitious companies identify, explore and respond to new opportunities.
From defining the future home with IKEA to building decentralised platforms with Coinbase, we are in the business of breaking new grounds. As one international team across offices, we have all the skill-sets needed to help businesses adapt to an increasingly complex world.
We’re committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of your identity, experiences and beliefs. We want BB to be a place where you can try out new things with the risk of failing, where you can take ownership over your own work without being micromanaged, and where there’s a low barrier for coming up with ideas — no matter your job title or discipline.
Work-life balance shouldn’t be a perk, but a given. We strongly believe in flexibility, knowing that creativity doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5. At BB you’ll be given a lot of freedom, which means managing your own priorities, trying out new things and working a flexible hours’ scheme.
About the role
At BB, we define, design, and develop digital products and interfaces from end to end. We work as a tight-knit team across all our offices, disciplines, and differences.
As a Senior Product Manager at BB, you will ensure product quality by leading cross-functional teams through all stages of projects — from scoping and planning, all the way through to product launch. In addition to product development, you’ll work closely with our brand and communication team, helping to craft cohesive, compelling narratives that strengthen our clients’ presence.
You will also play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, working with both existing and future clients. Our ideal candidate brings broad experience from digital agency environments.
We expect the ideal candidate to take on responsibility for the following:
Project and team ownership:
- Lead projects from planning through to launch, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and success
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across tech, design, and strategy
- Understand and balance client needs with design, technology, and business perspectives
- Help shape brands, products and services to have the best possible impact
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity in responsibilities, alignment and motivation
Client relationship:
- Build lasting client relationships through clear, consistent, and transparent communication
- Proactively look for new opportunities within existing client relationships, and quickly scope out new work to ensure a better end product
- Manage scope, timeline, budget, and resources across multiple workstreams
- Guide clients through the impact of design and technology decisions at every stage
- Support new business by aligning client expectations and internal teams on scope, deliverables, and ways of working.
Process:
- Define scope and plan projects across product, design, brand/communication and digital development
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-changing environment
- Facilitate regular check-ins, debriefs, and retrospectives to integrate feedback
- Build and lead teams to ensure smooth project execution from kick-off through launch
- Implement quality assurance and proactively manage risks throughout all stages of a project
- Adapt quickly to different methodologies, tools, and technologies
- Oversee vendors by gathering estimates, negotiating rates, and ensuring quality deliverables
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience successfully leading digital projects from concept to delivery, preferably in an agency, tech start-up, or tech company
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality projects on time and within scope.
- Proficient with collaborative project management tools
- Strong understanding of and genuine interest in technology, design, and the craftsmanship that unites them
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to build client relationships based on trust
- Sound business judgment and an understanding of the commercial dynamics of studio operations
- Full professional proficiency in English
What you can look forward to
- Independence — BB is an independently-owned studio. We have the freedom to orient towards the projects we believe in, create a culture that is driven by people with small egos and huge hearts, and invest in long-term relationships with partners whose ambitions match our own.
- Autonomy — Our culture is built on autonomy, responsibility and mutual trust. Instead of being prescribed a way to do things, we have the freedom to explore and develop our own methods and approaches, and to learn by doing.
- Flexibility — We all have different needs when it comes to how we work. We are flexible on working hours, open to workations, and can provide opportunities to relocate to one of our other offices, as long as it doesn't hinder our projects and our team’s progress.
- Continuous Learning — We want to invest in your growth. You will receive an annual allowance to invest in a course, class or conference — whatever you need to stay inspired and learn new things.
- Doing things together — Collaboration lies at the core of our culture. Whether through trips or team dinners, we prioritise bonding experiences across offices when we can, fostering camaraderie and creativity.
- Our offices — We have invested in creating welcoming spaces that provide our teams with what they need. Beyond the day-to-day, we use our offices to host team events, talks and parties.
Because we want our team members to be actively involved in our offices, we do not consider remote applicants. Candidates must either be located in or have the ability to relocate to one of our office locations and hold a valid work visa.
